Step 2: Install:

The above requires you to choose a graphical interface installation or text interface installation. At the bottom of the screen, there is a boot: prompt, press enter to directly install the image. If you can directly install the image, it means that the configuration of your video card is not a problem, and the text is similar. The difference is that you only use the mouse and keyboard. Because there are many Linux versions, but the installation method is almost the same, so here I will use redhat7. After entering the graphic interface, first select the language screen. The default is English. (depend on, RedHat. This is really his Nnn, that is, there is no Chinese choice)

Next, let's take a look at the keyboard settings. If your keyboard is not very special, you should keep the default settings and select next.

Set the mouse and select your mouse, pS2 interface, serial port, two keys, and three keys. If you are not sure, use the default one. Directly select next.

Then we can see a welcome image (Welcome to RedHat Linux). It doesn't matter. Choose next directly.

Well, there are two major components to choose from: installation, upgrade, and workstation, server, laptop, and custom installation, if this is the first installation, try it first and install it on the workstation.

There are two options for partitioning. One is to use disk druid for manual partitioning, and the other is to use fdisk for manual partitioning. We selected the above

Here, we can see all the partitions on your hard disk. here we need to remember that we use a notebook to copy the second data in each row, such as hda1 and hda5, this is the partition name on your hard disk in Linux. After you write down it, you can access the windwos partition in Linux by modifying the/etc/fstab file. (This method will be detailed later)

Double-click the left mouse button on the primary partition of Linux to bring up a dialog box. Enter a/and press Enter.

In this step, select next. After installation, you can directly start the computer in Linux.

Network settings. If you are dialing, select next. If you are using a LAN or broadband, enter the IP address and gateway.

Select a network service.

Supports language selection. If you are good at English, select next. If you want to try Chinese RedHat, you 'd better select Chinese. If you cannot find it, select all.

Select the time zone. Click the city on the map of China.

Set the password. enter your password. You can also add a user. You can add a user without adding a password. If you do not enter a password, the password is blank.

For custom software, here we hook up all three spaces and choose next, so we have installed two types of graphics, gnome, Kde, and games. If you want to install other software, select the bottom select individual packages, you can customize the installation,

There are a lot of software in it, so I don't know how to choose it, so I will select it all. I can try it later, but if it is all installed here, there will be more than 2 GB.
