Detailed steps for Ghost Network cloning

   Create a Network clone image: directly attach the system disk to the Network clone server. Note that the system disk must be set to the slave disk and cloned from the network.ProgramIt must be installed on the master hard disk of the clone server. There must be enough disk space on the hard disk of the Network clone server. You can attach the second hard disk to create a clone image file.

   Attach another hard disk to your machine. Then restart to DOS mode, start ghost, and select "Local → disk → to image ".

   Select the system disk to be mirrored and press the Enter key to select the ready partition with sufficient space (Here we choose the second physical hard disk)

   At this point, the system prompts you to name the image file. Here we start with Bak. Press the Enter key, and the system will prompt you to select the compression method. Select No to do not compress. fast to compress quickly. High to high compression ratio. In fact, you need to choose at will. Selecting high may save space, but may waste time.

   Select and press Yes to perform the backup operation.

   The partition in FAT32 format can only recognize 2 GB of files. Therefore, every 2 GB of files reaches, you will be prompted to create a new file.

   After the backup of the image file is complete, we should create a ghost server. start Windows to open ghostsrv. EXE file. its files can be found in ghostenterprise edition. (In fact, download is already provided in the BIOS repair website forum)

   Give the server a name. My name is Shenzi.
   Select clone client, then select the image file we just backed up to another hard disk, and click accept customer's button.

   The system will automatically search for the client.

   Now we have to set up the client.

   In the directory where the ghost file is located, we need to create a wattcp. cfg file. this file specifies the IP address and gateway. if this file does not exist, ghost will automatically scan the DHCP server. DHCP server is not recommended. so we use the DOS command, Edit to create a wattcp. cfg file.

   Enter the edit space wattcp. cfg in the directory where the ghost is located.

   In edit, we create the following content:

   IP = the IP address specified by your machine. To avoid duplication, try to use the machine number.

   Netmask = subnet mask, set according to IP rules.

   Gateway = gateway. the IP address of the ghost server is created.

    After the file is created, save the file and exit edit. Then run the driver in the 8139 Nic DOS environment. run rtspkt with a space of 0x60 and 0x60 to interrupt the NIC. the NIC must be interrupted. otherwise, your Nic cannot be driven. the interrupt I used is 0x60. in fact, this is only one method. The simplest method is to directly run the go batch processing file, which is a batch processing for automatically installing the NIC dos driver and ghost, which is more convenient.

   Run ghost. Select Multicasting

   In this case, the system will ask you about the server name. Enter the name of your server (Shenzi here) Here. Press ENTER

   Select the hard disk to be restored. Press ENTER

   You can re-Modify the partition size here. If there is no special requirement, select OK to continue.

   Select Yes to confirm the start.

   Now our client is in the receiving status.

    Now let's check the ghost server. Normally, the server can see the client's IP address and MAC address. after connecting all the clients, you can choose to start transmission for network cloning.

    However, we would like to remind you that the number of ghost machines on the network should not exceed 50. If there is a problem, you will be in trouble. If there is a machine disconnected,Please close the machine and wait. It will be counted as timeout in about five minutes. ghost will continue to run. in addition, some Nic drivers will lock the keyboard after execution. create a batch file by yourself.

   Note:

   1. Ghost Network cloning, mainly for client settings. If the connection fails or the server cannot find the client, check the client's configuration first.

   2. When setting the client Nic, you must specify an interrupt to the NIC. The NIC must be installed with the DOS driver on the client.

   3. If it is convenient, you can use the server version of the operating system as a DHCP (Dynamic IP Address Allocation) server. Then, you do not need to configure IP addresses for one machine, you only need to perform a batch processing, and then add the-Rb parameter (restart automatically after completion)
