After installing IIS on XP,-> the default Web site-> Properties-> The home directory-> setting the local path through Internet Information Services, specifying a server root directory;
At this point I put some items and HTML pages in the root directory.
Return to Internet Information Services-> Default Web site-> right click on the HTML page to the right-> browse; Discovery page display: Based on the credentials provided, you do not have permission to view this directory or Web page.
The reason for this is that IIS is accessed by default from an IE browser with the privileges of an anonymous user, but the file does not open read and write access to anonymous users.
Detailed steps:
Step one: Open a D disk at random--click the top menu bar "Tools"--"Folder Options"--"view"--find "Use Simple File Sharing (recommended)" In the Advanced settings to remove the front hook.
Step Two: Add user right click the folder where you use IIS to publish your site--"Properties"--"Security"--click the Add button to add a user--"advanced"--"Find Now"--check "Everyone" or "IUSR_ Your machine name"--OK
Step Three: Modify user Rights Select the user you just added ("Everyone" or "Internet Guest user")--"Full Control" in the permission settings.
