Point recognition analysis:
This article describes how to load the driver in Raid mode and install the operating system to enable the high-speed cache acceleration function.
Tip: This article is only applicable to models with Raid mode in Lenovo Ideapad U310 U410 BIOS. The content of this article is intended for your learning and reference. If you have any questions, we recommend that you contact the nearest Lenovo Service outlet to consult professionals.
Procedure:
1. Preparation
System Installation CD, IRST driver
Download the raid driver from the intel website and select the system type. This document uses a USB flash drive to install a 64-bit system in simplified Chinese.
Download address>
Decompress the downloaded driver to the USB flash drive for backup;
In addition, this Intel® quick storage technology software can be downloaded and installed and used after the system is installed. The driver and management software version must match. Because the system to be installed is a simplified Chinese version, select "multi-language" to download the software.
2. Boot installation
Set sata mode in BIOS to raid;
Press F12 to select a USB flash drive for boot;
Select the language and other preferences, and click next to install;
Select the operating system to install;
Select agree to the terms and click next to install;
On the disk partition page, click "load driver" and find the IRST driver folder on the USB flash drive. Then, click OK;
Automatically install the driver compatible with the device. Click next to install the driver;
In this way, you can view the partition information (note that even if you can see the partition, you must load the driver; otherwise, you will be prompted that the installation will not continue .)
Select "drive options (advanced)", delete all existing partitions, and recreate the partition.
Note:
Create a disk partition for the SSD hard disk. You can delete it after the installation is complete. Otherwise, approximately MB of partition is automatically created during the installation process to save the boot data, by default, no space is allocated at the top. As shown in the figure, if disk 0 is an SSD hard disk, the following conditions will occur after the default installation:
In this way, after acceleration is set, all data on the SSD hard disk will be cleared, and the system cannot be booted.
Select the system to install the partition and click next to install the partition;
Installation process;
After the installation is complete, restart the computer and enter the settings when you start the computer again;
3. raid acceleration and sleep partition settings
You can set raid acceleration or create a sleep partition without any sequence requirements. Set raid acceleration. The disk space must be at least GB. The sleep partition size cannot be less than the physical memory size. Otherwise, the acceleration effect cannot be achieved. You can create an 8G sleep partition for a 32g ssd and use all the remaining space as the cache for acceleration. Due to limited space, a 24g ssd can only be used as a cache for acceleration, and there is not enough space to create a sleep partition.
IRST installation
After entering the system, install the IRST management software and restart the computer.
After the restart, an automatic installation prompt is displayed in the lower right corner. After the installation is complete, the restart will take effect.
Create a sleeping partition
32 gb ssd allows you to create sleep partitions
Disk partitions before creating a sleep partition:

After the installation is complete, no page is set. However, if you do not install a sleep partition, you cannot see it after creating a sleep partition, which means you cannot quickly start it.
The following describes the 18.6 GB of SSD raid acceleration, with about 11 GB remaining, and then the 8 GB sleeping partition created.
1. Enter "diskpart" in the command prompt interface to open the disk management tool.
2. Enter "list disk" to view the hard disk numbers, as shown in the following figure. The SSD hard disk is "disk 0", and then enter "select disk 0" to select disk 0.
Tip: The SSD hard disk number must be distinguished based on the disk size to avoid affecting the mechanical hard disk data!
3. Enter "create partition primary size = 8190 id = 84" to create a sleep partition. "size" indicates the size of the sleep partition, in MB. "id" indicates the partition format, currently, dormant partitions use the 84 (OS/2) partition format.
Tips: if this hard disk has other unnecessary partitions, you can clear all partitions by running the "clean" command after selecting the disk, and then create a sleeping partition.
4. After the operation is complete, you can see the sleep partition in disk management.
Raid acceleration settings
No acceleration is set. Disk Management shows the SSD hard disk. (This figure shows the absence of sleep partitions)
Open the IRST software, select "acceleration", and click "enable acceleration". If there are less than 32 Gb hard disks, select "full disk capacity" and use all SSD space as the accelerated cache; for a 32 GB hard disk, you can select 18.6 GB to reserve space for the sleeping partition.
Select the accelerated partition size. You can select "full disk capacity" and use the entire SSD disk for acceleration. You can also select a GB partition. If there is a sleeping partition, the "custom" option will appear, you can set acceleration for the remaining SSD space.
After the configuration is complete, only the mechanical hard disk can be viewed in disk management:
After the configuration is complete, the page is displayed:
The following figure shows the operation interface for sleeping partitions:
Before acceleration is enabled:
After acceleration is enabled:
After the configuration is complete, restart the computer again and the driver will be reloaded to achieve dynamic buffer acceleration.
The boot item will also change after acceleration is enabled.
