For how to install three systems (mac OS x + Windows + Linux Ubuntu) on the MacBook Pro, I personally tested this version of MB986. After four days of hard work, I have achieved success, write down detailed installation tutorials to facilitate the deposit.
Preparations:
1. One MacBook Pro;
2. Install a snow leopard disk (mac OS X 10.6 and later versions are recommended );
3. One Windows installation disk (taking Windows XP as an example );
4. One Linux Ubuntu installation disk (Ubuntu 9.04 and later versions are recommended ).
1. Install MAC OS X
Press the power key and press the option key to start the CD. On the mac OS X installation page, select the start installation language "simplified Chinese". Before installation, go to the utility tool-disk tool in the top taskbar of the screen. Click continue and choose to format the entire hard disk as a mac OS extension (log-style). After formatting, you can start the installation! Click a series of agree to continue and then automatically install. After the installation is complete, click restart. After the gorgeous welcome page is displayed, enter your personal information according to the installation instructions! Mac OS X 10.6 snow leopard is successfully installed. (The erase in the disk tool is what we call formatting in Windows)
PS: of course, if the network permits, it is best to click the apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen after entering the desktop for software updates.
Ii. Install Windows XP
1. We have installed Windows with bootcamp assistant. When installing Windows, be familiar with mac OS X;
2. During Windows installation, Linux Ubuntu is also used as a version in Windows. Therefore, when you finally enter Windows, the system will prompt you to choose XP or Ubuntu.
After entering the mac OS X operating system, find the application/utility/bootcamp assistant and open it, set the size of the Windows partition to be divided (the size of the Windows partition here includes Windows XP + Linux Ubuntu + three system shared hard disk space, set as needed), click partition, after dividing, insert the Windows XP installation disc and click restart. The computer will automatically start from the optical drive. After the restart, go to the Windows XP partition interface, delete the drive C (that is, the Windows partition you just divided), and then exit the restart. Note: Press and hold the left mouse button when restarting, you can exit the Windows XP installation CD in the optical drive, and then insert the Linux Ubuntu installation CD. After the CD is started, select the Ubuntu icon to enter Ubuntu, and select either English or Chinese as the installation language, before installation, we need to use Linux Ubuntu partition (Windows (XP + three systems share a hard disk partition) and Linux Ubuntu partition), select manual partition, and divide free space into three partitions, sda3 (fat32 format (Windows XP + shared zone), sda4 (ext3) (Linux Ubuntu system), sda5 (swap) (this is a Linux swap zone, generally set to 2G, of course, if your memory is large enough, you can ignore the need to partition), set personal information after the partition, click Install, and return when the copy files (copy file) is displayed on the installation progress bar Out (strong retreat-"power key"), then take out the Ubuntu installation CD and insert it into the Windows XP installation CD, when you go to the partition installation screen under XP, you can select the C partition that has been allocated for the installation of the XP system under Ubuntu, then install XP from the C partition, the installation steps are the same as the PC, NTFS quick disk installation. After the installation is complete, restart and take out the XP installation CD and insert the application disk that is attached to the purchase of the snow leopard installation disk, which contains the Windows Driver. The next step is to install Windows on a PC, and finally enter the Windows desktop. The upgrade is mainly bootcamp to facilitate the installation of Windows vista or Windows 7 in the future. Windows XP installation is OK!
PS: Install Windows vista in the same way as XP, and upgrade bootcamp to 3.1 or above for Windows 7.
