Developing struts applications in eclipse

A Download and install easy Struts pack

1. Easy struts is a project on the open source organization SourceForge.net, and the current version is 0.64 and can be http://sourceforge.net/projects/on its website Easystruts Download Compressed file org.easystruts.eclipse_0.6.4.zip (Installation of Eclipse is no longer described here)

2. Unzip the downloaded compressed package to the {Eclipse}\plugins directory, where {eclipse} is the directory where eclipse is located. It should be noted that after decompression plugins directory should be more than one subdirectory, directory name: Com.cross.easystruts.eclipse_[ver],[ver] for the corresponding version number.

3. Easy Struts initialization settings: Start Eclipse and open the Settings window through the menu windows->preferences. The left side of the window will have an extra option: Easy Struts. As shown in the following illustration:

Before you can set easy struts, you have to prepare the files you need for struts (available on the Jakarta web site), including Struts.jar, and then several description files for defining the tag library include: Struts_html.tld, Struts_ Bean.tld, Struts_logic.tld. Click the easy struts on the left side of the settings window to appear as shown below 2:easy Struts's initialization settings interface. Choose Struts 1.0 or Struts 1.1 according to the version of struts you download, and the latest version is Struts 1.1. Here we select Struts 1.1 and find and add struts.jar files in the library files required for Struts 1.1. In the type library description required for Struts 1.1, it is recommended to add at least the preceding three description files: Struts_html.tld, Struts_bean.tld, Struts_ Logic.tld, these three files are automatically copied to the project's Web-inf directory when the Struts application project is created. The other content on the Setup screen is basically the default value, and you don't need to change it. OK, click the OK button to close the Settings dialog box to make the settings effective. At this point we have completed the basic setup of easy struts to start the development of struts.
