optimize page templates and themes for touch devices (CTP)

This release contains a new web theme designed to design the XAF Web application and build a new page template. These improvements will significantly increase the use of the XAF website on Touch devices.

Release Claim module

The Declaration module is now published and can be used in the environment, and changes to the new version include:

• Added the ability to open the editable details view of related business objects with notification items;

• When only a certain number of items in the status bar change and pop-up does not appear, the notification is not conspicuous;

• Displays all or only deferred project functionality, API refactoring, overall stability, and performance enhancements.

support Entity Framework in workflow module

You can now use Workflow modules in conjunction with the Microsoft ADO Entity Framework, which integrates support for Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) 4.0/4.5 into Xaf. WF is a workflow management framework designed to help you create workflow applications that are easier to manage.

Improving Web application performance

We have reduced the number of requests for Web browsers in the following scenarios:

• When you open an application page for the first time;

• When a page is refreshed;

• When a pop-up window is displayed.

The last item represents the customer's need to create a complex pop-up form with high standards, and the XAF Web application renders slower on the tablet's browser than on the PC.

enhanced application settings storage and management mechanisms

In this release, we have simplified the development process while also managing deployed applications by implementing the following steps:

• Applying the latest design-time changes in Visual Studio to the Model.xafml file is considered to be debugging;

• In a production environment, application management can import settings from the Model.xafml file using the import Shared Model difference action;

• Desktop and WEB application settings can now be stored separately (each user can have multiple sets of settings for different backgrounds, such as "Win", "web" or "Tablet");

• The Copy Model difference action can now merge the source and target settings instead of the fully overwritten targets.

Other enhancement features Desktop and Web UI

• You can now add an action to the WinForms status bar by setting the category "Notifications" or by customizing a template in the XAF bar Manager/xaf Ribbon control designer;

• Deferred data loading is implemented for the details form of the WinForms application (when enabled, the empty editor for the details view opens immediately and then loads and displays the asynchronous data);

• In the Web application, the document viewer can be used to preview the report. Now, cascading parameters and Drill-down reports are supported in the Web application;

• You can now display a list view of non-persisted objects from the navigation.
