The system is a virtual machine on VMware ESXI that was originally used as a NIC. After a new Nic is added, the Device does not seem to be present and delaying initialization is reported.
However, eth1 can be seen in ifconfig-. I tried a variety of methods available on the Internet. Finally copy the following section of the configuration file to try the mentality threw into the ifcfg-eth1
DEVICE = eth1
BOOTPROTO = static
IPADDR = 192.168.168.1
NETMASK = 255.255.255.0
TYPE = Ethernet
ONBOOT = yes
Run the service network restart command again, And eth1 got up miraculously. After a glance at the configuration file, we found that the reason should be DEVICE = eth1. Because my ifcfg-eth1 only has IPADDR. So I commented out this section and tried to execute network restart again. I found that the previous error message came out again ....
