TP-LINK outdoor wireless CPE and outdoor wireless base station (BS) can be centrally managed through the Pharos Control software, through the visual interface for Operation configuration. Take outdoor wireless CPE as an example:

Software implementation principle:

The interaction data between the client and the CPE/BS device must be forwarded and processed by the server. Therefore, in the networking scheme, one server must be properly running and monitored, and multiple clients can access the server for Operation settings.

 

1Download Software

You can find the management software on the installation CD. You can also download the Pharos Control software from our website.

2Install software

Double-click the software installation icon and install it according to the instructions on the page.

Install the Pharos Control client or the Pharos Control server as needed. If a host needs to be used as a dedicated management device, the server and client are installed at the same time.

Note:The Pharos Control server must be installed on a computer with the same network segment as CPE or BS.

If you select to install the Pharos Control server, the following page is displayed to set parameters. The server port, user name, and password will be used during client logon.

After setting the parameters, follow the prompts to complete the installation. Only one server is required in the network and multiple clients can be installed. The Pharos Control client can be installed on any Windows host as needed.

3Complete Installation

Run the server software directly. After the client software is opened, enter the logon address, port, and user name and password (the parameters set during server installation ). As shown in the following figure:

The configuration requirements for installing a host on The Pharos Control server depend on the number of BS and CPE devices it manages. Generally, you can use a single-core, M memory host to manage up to 50 devices. To manage thousands of devices, a multi-core, 2 GB to 3 GB memory host is required.

What if the server is on the intranet and the client is on the Internet?

If the client on the Internet needs to access the server inside the vro, you need to set Port ING on the Gateway vro of the network where the server is located. The ing port is the server port set in step 1 (default: 3rd ).
