Ahci is short for the Serial ATA advanced control interface. It is an Intel-dominated technology that allows the storage driverProgramEnable advanced SATA functions, such as native command queue (ncq) and hot swapping. After ahci is enabled, the potential performance of the SATA hard disk can be realized. Theoretically, the read/write speed of the hard disk can be increased by about 30%.
Step 1: Click the boot menu and select "run" from the menu. Enter "Regedit" in the input box of the running column, and press enter to open the Registry Editor.
Enter "Regedit"
Step 2: Open the Registry Editor and enter the "hkey_local_machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetservicesmsahci" key value. Double-click the project named "start" in the window on the right. A dialog box is displayed, and the default parameter is changed from 3 to 0. Click "OK" and save it. restart the computer.

Change the default "start" parameter
Step 3: After restarting your computer, go to the bios and change "SATA raid/ahci mode" to "ahci" on the "Integrated peripherals" Page (different BIOS options have slightly different names ).

Change "SATA raid/ahci mode" to "ahci"
Save and restart. after entering the system, the system will automatically install the ahci driver. After the installation is complete, the system will require a restart. After the restart, the ahci mode of the hard disk will be enabled.

The hard drive score is increased to 6.5, and the performance is increased by about 20%.
After the hard disk is changed to the ahci mode, the system startup speed does not change much. However, during large file copying, the speed was increased from 60 MB/s to 71 Mb/s, and the performance was improved by about 20%. The system score of the hard disk in windwos7 was also increased from 5.9 to 6.5. It can be seen that after the hard disk enables ahci, the effect is good.
