Difference between truncate and delete: truncatedelete

Truncate table players; equivalent to delete from players; or delete players. * from players;

1. truncate is fast. If the rollback command is available, delete will be revoked, but truncate will not.

2. truncate is a ddl statement. Like other ddl statements, it is implicitly committed and cannot use rollback.

3. truncate resets the high horizontal line and all indexes.

4. No delete trigger can be triggered.

5. You cannot grant anyone the permission to clear others' tables.

6. The parent table cannot be cleared.

7. After the table is cleared, the indexes of the table and table are reset to the initial size, while the delete statement is not supported.
