Java static methods, static variables generate a unique identity when called, that is, a static seat is given in memory so that it can be found directly at the time of invocation and saves memory. However, if the declared static method, too many static variables, will consume too much memory, it may cause memory overflow.

Non-static methods, non-static variables have GC management, and each new object is allocated a chunk of memory on the heap, which is reclaimed by GC when not in use.

All class, static variables are in the method area , and the method area can be both on the heap and on the stack .
