Differences between linux and linux
There are several methods for each linux version. I still don't understand it when I first learned it. I finally learned it.
Take CentOS as an example.
1. There are two CentOS system images, the installation system only uses the first image is CentOS-6.x-i386-bin-DVD1.iso (32-bit) or CentOS-6.x-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso (64-bit), the second image is the system comes with software installation package
2. To enable the image installation mode, the computer memory for installing CentOS 6.3 must be equal to or greater than 628 MB (Minimum Memory 628 MB ).
3. CentOS 6.3 text installation mode does not support custom partitions. We recommend that you use the image installation mode.
4. CentOS 6.3 system installation methods include: Graphical installation mode and text installation mode.
What is the difference between CentOS LiveCD, LiveDVD, and BinDVD?
BinDVD version-it is a general installation version, which must be installed on a computer's hard disk for use. bin is generally large and contains a large number of common software. It does not need to be downloaded online during installation (in most cases ).
LiveDVD is a CentOS system. You can use a CD to start your computer and CentOS system. The graphic interface and terminal are also available. It can also be installed on the computer, but some content may need to be downloaded again on the website (automatically ).
LiveCD-a simplified CentOS system than LiveDVD. Smaller size, easy to maintain and use.
In addition, there is a more Mini CentOS system version, the above CentOS-6.0-i386-minimal.iso is, and the next is the network installation version, you know, certainly difficult to use.
