Differences between the two revert methods in SVN

In SVN, when we need the commit before revert, there are two options:

1. revert to this revision

2. Revert changes from this revision

The following describes the differences between the two methods:

Suppose we have four consecutive commit: 1, 2, 3, 4

For commit 2

If you select revert to this revision, only 1 or 2 changes are retained, and 3 or 4 changes are canceled.

If you select revert changes from this revision, changes of 1, 3, and 4 will be retained, but changes of 2 will be canceled.
