At present, the level of the set-top box and the development of the radio/TV network are still a preliminary stage, which is still not perfect. If you want to jump to a higher stage now, it will stretch your neck and be broken.

If you continue to pursue more and more complex functions with such an impetuous pursuit, and forget the original starting point, it may be quite damaged ~~

Make some practical work, develop steadily, and make some new attempts on the basis of development to be reliable.

What to do and what to do now is just a proposal for your reference:

1. Understand what the public needs

Be sure to understand what the masses need, and use a set-top box to access the Internet for interaction? Or do I have to pay for my daily routine? Before deciding to do VOD, do not blindly follow suit. From some surveys we have done and some actual cases we have done, it seems that more audiences, more users want to watch programs and movies during their leisure time.

2. Understand the current development level of VOD

Although I have been developing VoD in China for a while, I think it is still in its initial stage. It is blind, chaotic, and has almost no rules. In this case, more importantly, do you want to remind me? Of course, it is stable. If the most basic on-demand video programs provided by the VOD service provider's server are not guaranteed, the VOD on-demand video programs cannot be provided to users stably, where can I implement more functions? As we all know, more functions and more complex functions may be at greater risk. Some VOD vendors without real operation experience will also be confused during this chaotic period, I used TV stations as a test site and promised some high functions and complex functions? If you are a carrier, if you are an audience, what do you need. That is, of course, the most basic function and more stable system. We are not pursuing high technologies and high functions, but cannot blindly use the radio and television equipment rooms as laboratories ....

Iii. Future Development

The reverse expansion of VOD is an inevitable trend, but what is the direction? Interaction? Interaction? From the perspective of my personal technology, I would not feel at ease with the current radio/TV network. After all, after so many years of practice at Telecom, I still cannot say that my network is secure, haha ~~ (Do China Telecom dare to say this ?) Haha ~~

In three steps:

1. Based on the present, do not follow suit, do a solid job of the most basic functions, basic skills are not well trained, what else do you want to do?

2. Expansion must be well planned for the next step of expansion. Those directions and functions are required. We can learn from the experiences and lessons learned in the first stage. The feedback from operators and users is worth studying, it is worth exploring that their needs are the real direction. From a technical point of view, the VOD system needs to be able to be scaled up to facilitate capacity expansion, distributed, and intelligent management;
