Disable Apache web server signature How to turn off server signature on Apache web server, apachesignature
Sometimes, to prevent malicious attacks from the security perspective, we can hide the server information. For example, we usually find the following information.
I am using centos (the same is true for fedora and RHEL)
$ sudo vi /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Other systems (ubuntu, Debian)
$ sudo vi /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
We can add two lines of information to this file.
ServerSignature Off // hide the Apache version information ServerTokens Prod // although the first command is not directly displayed on the page, it is included in the response header.
Then restart the network.
$ sudo service apache2 restart (Debian, Ubuntu or Linux Mint)$ sudo service httpd restart (CentOS/RHEL 6)$ sudo systemctl restart httpd.service (Fedora, CentOS/RHEL 7, Arch Linux)
To solve the problem.
