The automatic playback of Windows has become a problem for users because most viruses are transmitted via USB or CD/DVD autoplay and running. In Microsoft's latest Windows 8 operating system, AutoPlay is turned on by default.
When you insert a CD/DVD or USB, you will see a notice in the upper-right corner, and then you will see an interface similar to the image below, you can choose to operate.
If you want to turn off AutoPlay and run functions, you can refer to the following methods.
1, through the control Panel closed
Open the Control Panel and find the AutoPlay option,
When you open the AutoPlay Options page, uncheck to use AutoPlay for all media and devices.
2. Shutdown via Group Policy Editor
In the Run window enter gpedit.msc or search gpedit.msc through the Charm toolbar, open the Local Group Policy Editor and click Computer Configuration → admin template →windows component → AutoPlay strategy,
Then right-click to turn off AutoPlay settings in AutoPlay policy and select Edit,
Select to turn on this feature on, and then select the drive (including CD-ROM and removable media drives and all drives) that you want to shut down automatically, and then click Apply and OK to complete the turn off AutoPlay.
