Disable IPv6 under RHEL6

RHEL6 completely disables ip6:

I. vi/etc/modprobe. d/disable-ipv6.conf (name casually) (after RHEL6.0 there is no/etc/modprobe. conf file)

Input: install ipv6/bin/true

Ii. vi/etc/sysconfig/network

Add the following sentence at the end: IPV6INIT = no

3. Disable ipv6 iptables

Run chkconfig ip6tables off on the terminal

4. Restart.
