Change the default keyboard to eliminate text garbled characters
Windows XP has multiple versions. After a non-Chinese version of Windows XP is installed, the default language in the region option is the language of another country or region. Although you can add a Chinese Language Pack to change the interface to Chinese, there is still a small problem-when the default input language is not "simplified (or traditional) Chinese-American keyboard, you paste text from some applications to notepad and it will become garbled! For example, if we paste information from QQ to notepad, garbled characters will appear.
This is also true for pasting, but it is not always a problem to paste it into Word. As a result, many people may find it inexplicable. I encountered this problem when I first used Windows XP + Chinese Language Pack in English versions. After a long time, I found that I could solve this problem by changing the input language settings. If you set the default input language in Windows XP in the Chinese version, the same error will also occur.
Disable firewall to save network neighbors
Windows XP has a firewall. By default, network neighbors are not allowed to browse shared drives. If you have set a shared network drive, and then enable the firewall on the computer you want to share it with, and click the network neighbor on the client computer again, the network neighbor inaccessible error will be displayed, however, no firewall prompt appears. If this problem occurs on your shared drive, try to cancel the firewall or open the related options first.
Break through the preview "barrier" and delete video files
Because Windows XP has added the video file preview function, and its Process Management is different from Windows 98, sometimes when we want to delete a video file, we often encounter "the file is in use, cannot be deleted. We can solve it in two ways:
① Use WinRAR: WinRAR is a software with certain file management functions, not only compressed files. You can press the Del key on the WinRAR interface to delete the specified file.
② Click Start → run, Enter CMD, press enter, enter regsvr32/u shmedia. dll in the Command Prompt window, and press enter to uninstall the video file preview function. To restore the video preview function in the future, run the "regsvr32 shmedia. dll" command.
