Acronisdiskdirectorsuite is a powerful set of hard disk management tools that can be partitioned and used to repartition or tune existing hard disks without losing data, and to fix data in damaged or deleted partitions. In addition, the software is a good boot management program, with which you can easily implement the installation and guidance of multiple operating systems
After downloading the installation, you will find that the software integrates the "four kits":
1, Acronis Partition Expert:
This software is used to change partition size, move hard disk partition, copy copy hard disk partition, hard disk partition, hard disk partition merge, absolutely lossless hard disk data.
2, Acronis OS Selector:
The hard drive installs many systems to be blessed, uses it to control the multiple start interface.
3, Acronis recovery Expert:
Powerful tool for scanning and recovering missing partitions.
4, Acronis Disk Editor:
HDD Repair Tool, more professional, allows advanced operation on HDD disk, profit HDD boot record table operation and 16 edit.
Action Use diagram:
After installation on the desktop will appear Acronis icon, open will appear to use the interface, this time will appear two options--
A. Automatic mode (Automatic modes):
You can switch between the two modes in the view of the sticky menu. In automatic mode, the ability to operate on the hard disk is very small, this mode is similar to my computer, you can view the partition content, increase the partition capacity, etc., do not recommend this mode.
B. Manual mode (Manual mode);
In manual mode, you can delete, create, move, cut, change type, edit, and so on for the partitions of your hard disk.
As the following illustration shows, the yellow is the primary partition, the blue is the logical partition, and the green is the unpartitioned space.
1. Change the partition type
It is well known that when Vista is installed, it is the primary partition, so how do I change the primary partition other than the C disk into a logical partition? Vista's own Disk Management tool is obviously not suitable, first of all, it can not directly transform the partition, the second, to the third partition can be divided into logical partitions. Using Acronis.disk can be a very fast security conversion.
Right-click on the D partition you want to convert, select the Advanced Option (Advanced), and select the conversion (convert), or the conversion (convert) below the left task bar after you select the D partition.
into logical partitions (Logical Partition) Press OK.
However, it is possible to set aside some space in front of the partition, noting that the space cannot be merged into other partitions, and that the details can be understood by the resizing (Resize) feature. The following figure shows that the D partition has been converted into a logical partition, but this operation is not actually applied and requires the flag-like submission (commit) button above the dot to perform this operation.
2. Delete and create partitions
A. Delete partitions:
Right-click on the partition you want to delete, click Delete (delete), or select the Delete button in the left taskbar directly after the partition.
Click the Delete button will pop up after the deletion of the partition's confirmation box, here is a thoughtful design is the ability to completely destroy data, you can manually set the number of coverage data (Over-write) to protect the data does not drain the purpose.
B. Creating partitions
Right-click on the green unpartitioned partition (unallocated), point to create the partition (create Partition), or select the Create button on the left side of the taskbar immediately after the partition is not divided.
The dot create partition button will pop up after the Create Partition option interface, where you can set the partition's volume label (Partition Label), the partition's filesystem (file system), the partition type (Create as) (primary partition/logical partition), and the remaining space in front of this partition ( Unallocated space before), partition size (Partition size), the remainder of this partition (unallocated spaces after).
3. Mobile partitions
This function is mainly used to move an important partition completely to other space, so that the unpartitioned space in different locations can be merged together to facilitate the unified creation of partitions.
The following figure, after the deletion of D disk, the space is not divided by E disk and F disk separated, the need to move E and F disk to achieve the purpose of space consolidation.
There are two ways of moving, one, moving with the move option, which is the orthodox move method, and the second is to move with the resize (Resize) option.
A. Move the partitioning method with the Move option:
Right-click on the partition you want to move (here, as shown in the recovery Disk recovery e-disk), select Move, or select the Move button in the taskbar to the left of the point after the partition.
In the pop-up Move Partition option box, select the position you want to move (must be an unpartitioned space), then press next to note that there is an unassigned space in the image below after F, which can also be moved, but if the information in e disk exceeds the size of the space that is not partitioned, it cannot be moved, Moving a partition does not damage the partition data.
Click Next, you can see more detailed information, but also can change the type of partition, select OK and then click OK to complete the move.
When the E disk is moved, the F disk is moved to the left so that the remaining space can be merged. After all operations are complete, you need to press the commit button to execute the command.
Special attention:
If the partition is in the following fragmented state
To move the F disk to the last unpartitioned space, then the size of the F disk will automatically become the target partition size, as long as the partition has been partitioned to move the original partition, the size of the partition to be moved will automatically become the size of the target partition. However, the information in the zoning will be kept intact.
