Source: Internet
Author: User

When installing Oracle on Linux, the following errors are often reported:

You cannot use the command/usr/X11R6/bin/xdpyinfo to automatically check the display color. Check whether the DISPLAY variable is set.

You can use the following command to solve this problem:

1. Start the vnc service under root.

Vncserver # xdpyinfo

Record the string after name of display:, such as 127.0.0.1: 1.0

2. # xhost +

The returned information is: access control disabled, clients can connect from any host.

3. Switch to an Oracle user:

# Su-oracle

4. Execute the command: export DISPLAY =: 1.0 under the Oracle user

5. Run the xdpyinfo command in Oracle. If the command is displayed normally, the setting is successful.
