A Word2010 document often contains several formats, including formatting such as font, font size, character spacing, and so on. Users can view the formatting of the current Word document or selected text in the Display Formatting task pane. By default, the Show Formatting button does not appear in the Word2010 Ribbon. Users can place them in the Quick Access Toolbar, as described in the following procedure:
Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, and click the file → options button, as shown in Figure 2010093001.

Step 2nd, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Quick Access Toolbar tab, click the Select commands from the Drop-down triangle button, and in the Drop-down menu, select the command not in the Ribbon option, as shown in Figure 2010093002.

Step 3rd, select the display format option in the command list, and then click the Add button to add the command to the Quick Access Toolbar list and click OK, as shown in Figure 2010093003.

Step 4th, return to the Word2010 document window, select all the document contents or part of the text, and then click the Show Formatting button in the Quick Access Toolbar, as shown in Figure 2010093004.

Step 5th shows the formatting that the selected Word document contains in the Open Display Formatting task pane, as shown in Figure 2010093005.
