To find out the truth of the compressed DVD, the author specializes in collecting several sets of DVD compression discs from the market, after analysis found that it is essentially a standard resolution of the MPEG-1 video combination of dvd! It is converted from a standard DVD and seems to have a better quality than the average VCD. In the minds of most people DVD video part can only be MPEG-2, this is actually a misunderstanding, according to the specification of the DVD, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 are legitimate video coding! One, the DVD turns MPEG-1
InterVideo DVD Copy 2 is powerful and easy to operate, with many branded DVD burners attached to the software. It has an excellent MPEG coding effect and can encode subtitles from the original DVD into the MPEG-1.
1. Source, Target and format setting
Run the InterVideo DVD Copy 2 interface (Figure 2), first insert the DVD you want to convert, click the Browse Source button at the source in step 1, specify the letter that contains the DVD drive, and then click the Browse for Target button in step 2, to specify that the target is a hard disk. This allows the MPEG-1 file to be obtained instead of the VCD disc being generated directly; in step 3rd, select the type of replication as a VCD. The next thing to choose is to copy the content, select the "Main movie" on the line, so you can take unnecessary menus, titles, the end of the film removed.

2. Audio track, subtitles and burning disk settings
Because the DVD usually contains more than one track and subtitle track, so we also choose to synthesize to the VCD in the audio source, video source and subtitle source. Audio and subtitles as far as possible to choose "Chinese", so that the VCD will use Chinese subtitles and dubbing.
Finally select the Properties button and in the Optional Settings dialog box, in the General tab, set Video system to PAL, and CD media split mode to select No split.
When the settings are complete, click the "Start Burning" button to make a copy of the DVD conversion. Get the whole DVD converted to the MPEG-1 file, but also by the series to split it into a single MPEG-1 file, such tools are more, here is not to repeat (clip segmentation can also be done in the following steps).
Second, edit TV series
The key to making a compact DVD is TMPGEnc DVD Author, which can be used to make compressed DVDs with MPEG-1 files, otherwise you have to use professional DVD Maker software.
1. New Project
After you run TMPGEnc DVD author, the start step appears first in the window, and clicking the Create New Project button allows you to begin the edit of the DVD by entering the start source step.
2. Edit DVD Content
Next we need to import the material file and edit the file to arrange the DVD's program track.
In the "Source Setup" step, select the "Add File" button to add the first episode of the coded TV show to the list of program tracks. Next, click the Add New Track button in the left column to create a new track, and then add the second episode to program track 2 in the same way. The next set number is added in the same way, that is, a set of new program tracks. In general, a MPEG-1 file converted from DVD is often a series of TV dramas, we can repeatedly import the same file (a few episodes are imported several times), and then clip it. Usually a 4.7GB DVD burning disk can put down 10 episodes of TV dramas, of course, can put more places as far as possible, as long as no more than 4.7GB on the line.
The default program track name is "Untitled Track1 (no title program track)" And so on, in order to make the difference, you need to rename them: Select a program from the list on the left side of the program, click the right mouse button, select the "Rename (rename)" Command from the shortcut menu, Then enter its name in the dialog box that pops up, such as "first episode."
3. Clips
The MPEG-1 files we get from converting the entire DVD need to be split, and the beginning and end of each set has a theme song, a piece of music and a cast, which takes up space and wastes time and should be removed. The Edit Clip dialog box pops up when you select a track and then click the Edit button on the section in the right chapter list (Figure 3). In the dialog box, move the slider to the beginning of the TV show you want to select. Click "Set as Start frame" to set it as the beginning of the fragment, move the slider to the end position, and click "Set as End frame" to set the tail. When the clip is finished, click the OK button to return to the main screen.

4. Create Menu
You can actually generate a DVD file or burn a DVD directly now. However, in order to be more convenient in the play, it is best to make a menu to make a choice.
Select the Create menu button at the top of the window, to enter the menu creation step, you can select a menu template in the menu theme Drop-down list in the upper left corner, the menu theme dropdown list has preset seven menu templates, you can select a template, and then modify the menu title. If you are not satisfied with the template, you can choose the "new theme" in the Drop-down list to create your favorite menu.
5. Output complete
After the menu is edited, you can output the DVD. Select the "Output" button to enter the output step, first select the "Create DVD folder" check box, and then set the output folder, and finally click the "Begin Output" button to start generating the DVD file.
The completion of the output pops up a dialog box that prompts you to complete the DVD build, and you can select the Open DVD write tools (startup DVD? Burn tool) button to start the software's own DVD recording tool, and then click Write DVD (write DVD) after inserting a DVD burning disk. button to burn.
DVD compression disc research, production experience

1, Video set standard: 1150 Kbps, 25.0 fps, sharpness: 352*288 (4:3 or 6:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD).

Order of production:
1, first with TMPGEnc Plus 2.54 according to the above standard conversion.
2, then use TMPGEnc DVD author or friends record burn 3.5 burn.
