DNS Chapter 3 of Windows Server 2012

In the previous section we talked about the auxiliary and stub areas, so let's take a closer look at them.

One, the auxiliary area

About creation and functionality of secondary zones I'll explain in more detail by creating a secondary server, and I'll start working on the relevant preparations. The first two virtual servers to create a basic configuration (due to previous knowledge of the explanation, here is no longer detailed) example: computer name: Server01 ip:192.168.1.101

Preferred dns:192.168.1.101; Computer name: Server02 ip:192.168.1.102

Preferred dns:192.168.1.102; The following is the secondary server that created Server02 as Servver01.

Then configure the DNS service separately on Server01 and Server02, and create the primary zone on the Server01: sy.com

and create a record of the host named www (don't forget to glue a record)

Create a secondary zone on Server02, make acquaintance with the main zone, right-click Forward lookup Zone Select New Zone

Then go to Server01, right-click the domain name, select Properties

Click Name Server

Click "Add" and enter the fully qualified domain name: server02.sy.com ip:192.168.1.102

Click OK and select Apply, and the NS record for Server02 will appear

Go back to Server02. Right-click the domain name and select "Transfer from primary server"

This indicates that the secondary server was created successfully

Second, stub area

Stub zone We also put in the stub server to explain, the creation of the stub server as a secondary server, just server02 to make some changes, and Server01 on the settings do not change

Delete the secondary zone that you created before Server02, and then click the Forward Lookup area to select New Zone and click Next

One of the things we can notice is that there is no a record.

Third, about the server delegation

Delegation is mainly to solve the problem of overloading the server, to share the primary server resolution task. Here's how to delegate, we'll delegate Sy.com's subdomain bj.sy.com to Server02 for resolution, before deleting the stub zone on Server02.

On Server01, right-click the name to select New delegation

Use server03 as the private root server, configure DNS on SERVER03, and create a root on server03
