When you start MSN Messenger or connect to the Internet, you can change the default settings if you do not want Messenger to log on automatically.

Prevent Messenger from logging in when you connect to the Internet

1, on the Tools menu, click Options.

2, in the left pane, click General.

3. Under login, clear the Allow automatic logon when connecting to the Internet check box.

4, click "OK".

Prevent Messenger from logging on to you when you start Messenger

1, start Messenger. Messenger is automatically logged in for you.

2. Click Cancel before the login process completes.

Or

Log off Messenger.

3, clear the "Automatically log in to me" check box.
