Do not restart the computer to change the IP address

After the IP address is changed in Windows 98, it is also possible to make the new IP address take effect without restarting the computer.

First, after changing the system IP address, choose not to restart the computer and open the "control panel ", select "system" to open the "System Properties" dialog box (you can also right-click "my computer" and select "properties" in the pop-up menu ), on the "Device Manager" tab, click "+" in front of "network adapter", select the corresponding Nic, and open its Properties window. Select the check box before "Disable (D) In this hardware configuration file" in "device usage", and then click "OK, soon the system will disable this Nic device. Next, re-enable the disabled Nic device in the same way and click "OK". Then, the NIC device is re-enabled, at the same time, the new IP address also takes effect without restarting the computer.

The NIC device is re-driven and refreshed by disabling and enabling the NIC device, so the change of the new IP address takes effect.
