Do not start Word to view document Word Count methods

For some people who work with words, editing a document in Word often uses its "word count" feature. Most people use the Word document on the Tools menu to count the number of words in the document (the entire document or selected section of the document). This is only one of the most common methods, Word also provides us with a lot of advanced settings such as custom buttons, specify shortcut keys, with the "Insert" field function, with the "macro" features, etc., to achieve personalized word count function.

The above mentioned methods are in the open Word documents in the statistics, in fact, you do not have to open the document every time to count the words, today I would like to introduce you to use the document "Properties" of "statistical" function to achieve the "word count" method.

1. In Windows 98. In the Explorer, select the document to count the number of words, right-click, select Properties in the shortcut menu, select the Statistics tab in the pop-up dialog box (shown in Figure 1) to view the document's pages, paragraphs, lines, word count, and so on.

2. In Windows 2000/XP. In the Explorer, select the document to count the number of words, right-click, select "Properties" in the shortcut menu, and in the pop-up Properties dialog box "Summary → advanced" button, you can view the document "pages, paragraphs, words" and so on (as shown in Figure 2).
