Docker how the installation location of the for Windows pull mirrored file changes
Occurrence of the phenomenon:
Install Docker for Windows under Windows10, with Docker pull image files, the size of the C disk is getting smaller, you may have the same idea, want to change the default installation path, this article hope to solve your problem.
Reason Analysis:
The Docker installed on Windows actually creates a Linux virtual machine by using Hyper-V technology with the Windows platform, and all the commands you execute are actually performed in this virtual machine. So all pull to local image will be in the virtual machine hard disks directory files, this file is the virtual hard disk file. If you want to change the path only need to be set in Hyper-V manager. The default installation path is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual hard disks.
Solution:
1. Start Menu Right-click-> Control Panel-> Admin Tool->hyper-v Manager-> virtual machine right key setting. As shown in Figure 1

2. Copy the default C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual hard DISKS\MOBYLINUXVM.VHDX file to the path you want to change, and I copy it to D:\vmwork\Virtual Hard the disks path, and then click Browse to read and determine the save settings, as shown in Figure 2.
