Part 2nd: Enhance your ability to capture and reuse content
Overview
Documenting your IT solution with a custom Eclipse Information Center, part 1th: Creating your First Information center, you created your own first solution Information Center, which contains a file. Once you have mastered the basics, you can begin to learn tips for speeding up the accumulation of documents in your Content library, first by importing a sample solution information project with a full load of content.
Import content from a user in another toolbox
The first quick way to accumulate content is to import a solution information project created by another user. If anyone on your team captures the content, then everyone on the team can reuse it. The benefit of importing a solution information project is that you can add multiple documents of various types to the Content library through one operation. Content can be reused in your new and existing solution Information center projects. You can also get solutions navigation views for other users that you can reuse or not use.
To practice how to import a solution information project:
Download the Tkcarsi-sample.zip file from the download section of this article.
In the Toolbox, select File > Import project from the menu bar. The Import Solution Information Project dialog box appears.
Locate the sample Solution information Project Tkcarsi-sample.zip that you want to download.
Return to the Import Solution Information Project dialog box, click Finish. The Toolbox will report that it is scanning the project.
When the Toolbox displays a dialog box that lists the content that will be included or overwritten, review the list and click OK.
View the progress bar. In general, you can disregard any error messages that are displayed.
As shown in Figure 1, after the project is imported, the Toolbox will open its navigation tree. You can also turn off this navigation tree (File > Close project) If you do not want to start working on this project now. The content of the project has been added to your content library to be available in any solution information project. The items you import are now available through File > Open project.
