Set up the master-slave relationship and connect the two hard drives correctly, then turn on the boot into the BIOS setup program. In the Standard CMOS Features option, set the from disk parameter entry to NONE, shielding the from disk. Set the primary disk as the boot hard drive in the Advanced BIOS Features option. When you save the settings and restart, the hard drive letter is arranged in the order of the main, from the disk's partitions. The disadvantage of this approach is that the disk can only be used normally under Windows and is not recognized in pure DOS mode.

Start PartitionMagic, right-click the letter you want to modify, select advanced → modify drive letter from the shortcut menu, then select the new letter in the Change Drive letter window that pops up, click OK, and then select the general → apply changes command to restart as prompted.
