The previous two days, Microsoft announced the release of Windows Server 2003 SP1 to the manufacturer, but did not provide a download link to the majority of users. Today, Microsoft has finally provided an official download.
There are three reasons why Windows Server 2003 SP1 deserve to be installed:
1.Windows Server 2003 SP1 is a separate service pack that provides an important security enhancement tool to improve system reliability and improve system performance.
2. Contains a large number of critical updates that can fix additional core security issues, a strong default setting, lower usage rights, better protection of the system, and fewer user threats to attack.
3. With the help of SP1, the development team can identify a number of security issues and identify the root cause of the problem. SP1 also helps classify security vulnerabilities, which is especially important.
In addition, Microsoft announces that Windows Small Business Server 2003 Service Pack 1 will be released within 60 days. The Windows Server 2003 x64 editions and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, which were released to the manufacturer in the first two days, will be fully released at the end of April (25th-27th).
Note: Microsoft plans to use Windows Server 2003 SP1 as a high-priority update package for July 2005 and will be published on Automatic Updates (AU). Therefore, at present, we cannot download SP1 by means of AU.
