Drawing freehand Grey feather with Photoshop brush tool

In this paper, we introduce a method of using Photoshop Brush tool to draw gray feather, which is simple, but the effect is very good.

Finish effect:

The first step, using the "spine" tool to draw a curve, it determines the direction of the feather State.

The second step, using a basic color, paint the approximate shape of a feather. On the basis of feathers, draw a different depth of the region.

The third step, using the appropriate size, feather the edge of the brush on the feather and then draw the initial shadow and high light area.

The fourth step, with a lighter brush, starts drawing some individual feathers.

The fifth step, once again on the feather to continue to draw the texture of feathers. This will look distinctly different. Some feathers are clearly visible while others (like this) are more like feathers.

The sixth step, using a larger brush at the top of the feather, bring out a little shadow and high light.

The seventh step, may not need to but I add the shadow.

Finally adjust the color, get some different effects.
