The AN04W-X024 Wireless LAN system of WRI is used in micro-cells. The wireless LAN system consists of an AP (Access Point), a wireless network adapter, and a wireless bridge. The AP of a wireless Access Point uses an omnidirectional coverage of 80 m in the room, it is 500 m outdoors and supports access from up to 63 users. The wireless LAN system follows the 802.11b standard and adopts direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technology. It has three modulation modes: DBPSK, DQPSK, and kip.

Supports dynamic rate conversion and automatic load balancing. Dynamic rate conversion can adjust the rate of wireless connections to compensate for radio signal attenuation and interference, the dynamic rate conversion levels are 11 Mbit/s, 5.5 Mbit/s, 2 Mbit/s, and 1 Mbit/s. Automatic Load Balancing can act on the communication between the AP of multiple wireless access nodes, if the AP corresponding to the wireless network card is congested or the signal is fading, the wireless network card will automatically switch to the AP with a better status, thus ensuring the uninterrupted access and optimal rate of network services.

A micro-cell is generally composed of multiple APs, which can be in a sub-network or in different subnets, the configuration of any AP in the same subnet can be automatically transferred to other APs, so that mobile users do not need to reconfigure IP addresses when roaming between different aps in the same subnet.

In a wireless LAN system, Wireless AP supports DHCP when roaming in different subnets. Therefore, users and micro-community network administrators can obtain a new IP address without manually setting an IP address, to achieve roaming. In addition, the AP of the Wireless Access node can be connected to the Hub/switch through a network cable or a wireless connection to the Hub/switch through a wireless bridge.
