Dual-nic configuration for "Broadband Proxy Server"

Currently, in addition to CERNET, campus networks in primary and secondary schools need to be connected to the Internet to provide external access applications. Broadband access is widely used for Internet access. The following is an example of our county education information center.

Our county education information center uses Dell 4600 as a proxy server. Dual NICs are installed on the server, with an external broadband address allocated and an internal campus network address allocated, use the dedicated proxy software Ccproxy to implement Web proxy, information filtering, and I P address management control. The switch is Cisco 2948G-L3, and the switch is Digital China DCS-3628S. When no VLAN is divided, the external network card cannot communicate after the proxy server restarts. You must disable the internal network card before enabling it. Two NICs work in turn, and the Internet and Intranet Communication are interrupted at a time. However, if one network adapter is disabled, the other one works normally.

Log on to the Cisco 2948G-L3 switch, reconfigure VLAN division, and test the normal communication between VLANs in the internal network. This indicates that the switch is set properly. Then test the proxy server. The two NICs still work in turn, and the service will be interrupted.

There is no problem with VLAN division, so we will focus on the server. After VLAN division, do two server NICs need to be separately routed? Based on this problem, we carefully checked the route settings of the server. Adding a route in Windows 2000 Service Management and setting it in the RAS (Remote Access Service) option did not solve the problem. When there was almost no hope, I found an article on dual Nic settings when I checked online.

According to the Article prompts, the Proxy Server Gateway of our county education information center is 192.168.1.254, Other gateways are 10.11. 1.254, 10.12.1.254, 10.13.1.254 ,......... 10.38.1.254, run:

Route-p add 10.11.1.254 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.254

The following prompt is displayed:

The route addition failed: The specified mask parameter is invalid. (Destination & Mask )! = Destination.

Why cannot I set it? After analyzing the Route settings, can other machines directly use IP addresses and Proxy Server gateways for routing as long as they can perform routing with the Proxy Server Gateway? Can 10.0.0.0 indicate all IP addresses starting with 10? Enter the following command in Cmd:

Route add 10.0.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.254

After debugging, it is indicated that the network attribute of the internal Nic cannot be set to the gateway and DNS server. The problem of network disconnection during dual Nic proxy is solved. The rest is how to debug the agent software, set proxy permissions, and control and manage IP addresses.
