The following article hopes to help you: 64-bit RHEL 5 installation of Oracle 11gR2 document
Attach a scan and gns document Oracle 11gR2 gns scan vip configuration Add/delete document
Record the problem if the gns service is not used. Instead, use the hosts file to parse the scan ip address. The client may fail to connect or the connection times out.
This is because the client cannot parse the name.
Take a look
Local_listener
NAME TYPE VALUE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Listener_networks string
Local_listener string (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (AD
DRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = sol1-vip) (PORT = 1521 ))))
Remote_listener string sol-scan: 1521
Either way is to enable the client to parse the sol1-vip name
Method 1:
Linux: vi/etc/hosts
Windows: C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts
Add the entry corresponding to this sol1-vip
Method 2:
Modify local_listener to ip address (set by two nodes respectively)
