An overview of AP div
Using the absolute positioning property in a CSS style sheet.
The
tag is called AP Div. The "AP Div" in Dreamweaver CS5 is the "layer" in the old version of Dreamweaver. AP Div can be understood as floating on the page of a page, can be placed anywhere in the page, you can move these positions, and their position can overlap, but also can arbitrarily control the AP div position, display and hide, so greatly enhance the flexibility of web design.
In the Web design, the page elements in the AP Div, and then in the page to pinpoint the location of AP Div, you can achieve the precise location of the content of the Web page, so that the page content on the page arranged neatly, beautiful, orderly.
Second, insert AP Div
1. Open the HTML document, click Design View, then click on the "Insert" menu, select "Layout Objects" command, in the Pop-up submenu select "AP Div" item.
Or select the layout item in the Insert panel and click the Draw AP Div icon, as shown in the following illustration:
Click on the "Window" menu and select "Insert" to open the Insert panel.

Three, insert multiple AP Div
If you need to insert multiple AP div in a page, hold down the CTRL key, click the Insert Panel, select the Layout item, and click the Draw AP div button to add more than one ad Div at a time in the page. As shown in the following illustration:
Iv. Creating nested AP Div
1. Set "Preferences"
Click the Edit menu, select the Preferences command, and open the Preferences dialog box, as shown in the following illustration:
In the Category Drop-down box, tap the AP element item.
In the nested item, check "Create later nesting in AP div".
Click the OK button to close the Preferences dialog box.
2. Set "AP element"
Click on the "Window" menu, select the "AP element" Item, and open the AP elements panel, as shown in the following illustration:
Cancels the "Prevent overlapping" item.
3. Draw nested AP Div
(1) Click the "Draw AP div" button, drag the mouse in the Design view of the document to draw an AP div area.
(2) Click the "Draw AP div" button again, drag the mouse in the AP Div area already drawn and draw a new AP Div area. This AP div is embedded in the front AP Div. As shown in the following illustration:
