DW Basics Dreamweaver Activate, select, and delete AP Div

First, activate AP Div

1. After activating AP Div, you can insert content or objects in the AP Div. Move the mouse to move the cursor to any location within the AP Div, click Left, you can activate AP Div.

2. At this point, the cursor is placed in the AP Div, you can enter the content or object. As shown in the following illustration:

3. The activated AP div border is highlighted and the selection handle is displayed, and in the AP elements panel, the ID name of the AP Div apDiv1 also displays high brightness, indicating that the AP div has been activated.

You can then enter the content or object at the cursor location.

Second, select AP Div

1. To select an AP div

(1) Click on the "Edit" menu, select the "Preferences" item, Pop-up "Preferences" dialog box, as shown in the following figure:

Select the invisible element item in the category Drop-down list, select the AP element anchor item on the right, and click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.

(2) Click on the "View" menu, select the "Visual Assistant" item, in the Pop-up submenu select the "Invisible element" item, give this item tick (√).

(3) Select an AP div in the Document design window as follows:

Click on the AP div selection handle. If the handle is not displayed, click anywhere within the AP div to make it appear.

Click the AP element's anchor point.

Move the cursor to the bounds of the AP Div, and when the cursor is 10, click the AP div's border.

Hold down the Ctrl+shift key and click inside the AP element.

Click inside the AP element and press CTRL + A to select the contents of the AP element. Press CTRL + A again to select the AP element.

Click inside the AP element, and then select its label in the label selector.

The effect of the selected AP Div is as shown in the following illustration:

The selected AP div displays high brightness in the AP elements panel.

(4) Select an AP div in the AP elements panel by doing the following:

In the AP elements panel, click the name of the AP element you want to select to select an AP Div.

Tip: Click on the "Window" menu, select the "AP element" Item, you can pop up the AP elements panel.

2. To select multiple AP div steps

Hold down the SHIFT key in the Design view of your document, and then click inside or around the border of two or more AP elements.

In the AP elements panel, hold down the SHIFT key, and then click Two or more AP element names.

When multiple AP div is selected, the box on the border of the last selected AP Div is displayed in solid, and the squares on the border of the other AP div are displayed in hollow.

Third, delete AP Div

In the Design view of a document, or in the panel of AP elements, select the AP div or more that you want to delete, and then press the DELETE key to remove it.
