In this section, we will discuss how to maintain CRM, including the following:

1. Back up CRM DB
2. Back up CRM System
3. Restore CRM DB
4. Restore CRM System

 

I. Back up CRM DB

The following steps create a maintenance plan for the crm db:

1. Open SQL Server Management Studio

2. Right Jian management-> maintenance plans, select maintenance plan wizard

3. On the select plan properties page, set a name. Because we only create one sechedule, selectSingle sechedule for the entire plan or no schedule

4. On the select maintenance tasks page, selectBack up database (full)To back up the entire database

5. On the define database check integrity task page, selectCheck database integrity; Select the following dB in the databases drop-down box:

Master
MSDB
Mscrm_config
<Organizationname> _ mscrm
Reportserver
Reportservertempdb
Mscrm_config
<Organizationname> _ mscrm

6. Select the backup path and do not compress the backup:

7. After this wizard is completed, a <maintenanceplan_name>. subplan_1 job is created under SQL Server Agent> jobs. rename it, select schedules for the right-key attribute, and select:

 

8. Select the appropriate schedule to complete automatic backup.

 

2. Back up CRM Server

Back up the following CRM server content

1. Directory of the CRM program file:

C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Dynamics CRM \

C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Dynamics CRM reporting extensions \

 

2. website directory:

C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Dynamics CRM \ crmweb

 

3. registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ mscrm

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ mscrm xxxx

 

4. In addition, you should also write down the current CRM version number in the settings in the upper-right corner of the CRM system to ensure that the version is consistent during recovery.

Iii. Restore CRM Database

1. Open SQL Server

2. Restore the following dB. <backup_device> is the Bak file you backed up earlier, such as c: \ ms_crm_master_db_backup \ master. Bak:

Restore database master from <backup_device> with replace
Restore database MSDB from <backup_device> with replace
Restore database mscrm_config from <backup_device> with replace
Restore database <organization_mscrm> from <backup_device>
Restore database reportingserver from <backup_device> with replace
Restore database reportingservertempdb from <backup_device>

3. reinstall CRM. When specifying the deployment option, select to connect to an existing dB.

Iv. Restore the CRM system

1. Install the system and keep the same version before backup.

2. Replace isV. config with the previously backed up file, Web. config (default value: C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Dynamics CRM \ crmweb)

3. Restore CRM information in the Registry
