Dynamics CRM 2011 Rights Management
The role-based permissions of CRM system are mainly controlled by departments, roles, users and teams . The owner of each entity record (owner) must be a certain user or team. A user or team must belong to one and belong to only one department, but the members of the team can come from different departments. Users and teams can have several different roles, and the roles assigned to the user or team are associated with their departments, which are represented in five levels of choice for individual operations permissions, taking the opportunity reading as an example:
None-no Read permission for all Opportunity records
User-only Read permission to the owner's opportunity record for the current user
Department-Read permission to an Opportunity record for the user or team who owns the current user's department
Parent-Child Department-Read permission to an Opportunity record for a user or team who owns the current user's department and its subordinate departments
Organization-Read access to all Opportunity records
