Windows Server 2003, which is installed by default, does not have IIS services configured and requires our manual installation. Go to Control Panel, perform add or Remove Programs → add/Remove Windows components into the Windows Components wizard window, check the "Application Server →internet Information Services", "OK" and return to the Windows Components wizard window click "Next" You can add a good IIS service. Perform the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager into the IIS Manager main interface (figure) in the Administrative tools in Control Panel to see that the IIS default support for static Web sites under Windows Server 2003, to perform dynamic pages, to set Web service extension properties , for example, to perform an ASP site, select Active Server Pages in the Web Service Extensions list and click the Allow button to enable the feature. The next step is to configure the Web site specifically.

1. Basic site Configuration. In the Default Web site right-click menu, select Properties to go to the Default Web Site Properties window. On the Web Site tab, in Description, you can take a name for the Web site, and if the computer has more than one IP address assigned to it, select an IP address in the IP address box that gives the Web site; then go to the home directory tab to specify the source of Web content for your Web site and set up the IIS default startup document in documents. When you click the Apply button, you can use http://127.0.0.1 to verify the Web site.

2. Web site performance configuration. Go to the Performance tab, here you can limit the bandwidth and number of connections to site access to better control the traffic on your site, and if you are a multi-site server, you can relax restrictions on access to other sites and free more system resources for other sites by limiting the number of bandwidth and connections to one site. (Hint: In the actual qualifying operation we need to adjust according to network traffic and usage changes.) ）

3. The security configuration of the Web site. To ensure that Web sites and servers are running securely, you can set up the site for authentication and access control, IP address, and domain name restrictions on the Directory Security tab, but you can use the default settings if there are no other requirements.

To prevent system corruption from affecting the IIS configuration, we can back up IIS by selecting "All tasks → backup/restore Configuration" in the right-click menu of the local computer, but this is not possible if you encounter a reload Web server or porting a Web server to another Web server We can use the IIS Backup Wizard to implement the backup and migration of IIS.

Start the software, the IIS Backup Wizard's site list will be listed on the IIS server configuration of the various sites, check the site you want to back up and then click the "Export Site" button, the pop-up "Export IIS Site" window select a good file save path, "OK" after The site configuration information is saved in a txt text file.

When reloading the IIS server requires importing site information, run the IIS Backup Wizard, click the Import Site button to select the previously backed up IIS site information file to import on the pop-up IIS Import Sites window, and then import it after OK. If you need to migrate the IIS site information should first copy the backup site information file to the destination machine, and then download the installation of the IIS Backup Wizard on this machine, the "import site" operation can be done.
