Here's how to fix it:

1. Turn off Ubuntu 14.10.

2. Virtual machine--set-->cd/dvd (SATA)--select "Use ISO image file" in the connection, click the Browse button in the following, select the Linux.iso file under the VMware Software installation directory, click OK to exit the settings. As shown in 2.

3. Turn on Ubuntu 14.10. Enter the virtual machine, select "VMware Tools" in "Devices", select the vmwaretools-9.6.1-1378637.tar.gz file to copy to the desktop, enter "CD/ Home/zhb/desktop ", (where ZHB is the name of the author's own virtual machine, other students can enter" tar xvf vmwaretools-9.6.1-1378637.tar.gz "according to the name of their virtual machine) Unzip the file vmwaretools-9.6.1-1378637.tar.gz, then get the "Vmware-tools-distrib" folder, enter "CD Vmware-tools-distrib", Enter the Vmware-tools-distrib directory, and then enter "sudo./vmware-install.pl" and press ENTER to confirm that you are ready to install the VMware Tools tool.

4. Turn off Ubuntu 14.10 and turn it on again, the Ubuntu 14.10 will be fully displayed in VMware and 3 as shown in the full screen.
