For security purposes, enterprises often change their passwords. The most common is the apps password and other schema passwords. Below is a brief introduction:
Note:
1. Back up fnd_user and fnd_oracle_userid before changing the password
2. Changing the password of any user will stop EBS.
1. Change the apps Password
11i:
1. Stop EBS app
2. fndcpass apps/apps 0 y system/manager system applsys welcome, probably means that the original apps password is changed to welcome through the System user, because apps and applsys passwords are the same, therefore, you can only modify the app password in disguise by modifying applsys.
3. Do I need to change the password in a file? Apache/modplsql/CFG/wdbsvr. App. So if you forget your apps password one day, you can use this file to check it out.
4. AutoConfig
5. Start EBS app and validate password.
R12:
1. Stop EBS app
2. fndcpass apps/xxuuuu 0 y system/manager system applsys apps
3. AutoConfig
4. startup
Changing the apps password for 11i and R12 is similar. What if you forget the apps password one day? Metalink provides a method for reference only. I have never tried it, that is, find an environment that knows the apps password, export the fnd_user and fnd_oracle_userid tables, and then execute fndcpass.
2. Modify passwords of other users
1. fndcpass apps/apps 0 y system/manager Oracle Po po_newpasswd modify
2. fndcpass apps/apps 0 y system/manager alloracle new_password change the passwords of all users, excluding apps
3. Modify the EBS logon User Password
1. fndcpass apps/apps 0 y system/Manager User SysAdmin new_passwd, which is modified directly in the background on the interface.
4. Change the system/sys Password
Alter user system identified by manager;
Alter user SYS identified by change_on_install;
