When you open or edit an XML file by using Eclipse, if the XML file header references an XSD or DTD, it can sometimes be suspended, because eclipse will then verify the XSD or DTD files that are declared on the line, and then feign death if the connection is slow. The solution is to import some of the slower-connected files into Eclipse and let him verify locally, as follows:
1. Download the XSD or DTD files from the XML header file to the local browser.
2. Open the Windows-preferences menu, in the Preferences dialog box, select "General"-"Network Connections"-"Cache", and then select the right "Disable Caching" check box.
3. Select "XML"-"XML Catalog" in turn, first select "User Specified Entries" on the right, and then select the "Add" button on the right, and then select the "File System" button to load the local XSD or DTD file. Only one can be imported in turn. OK dialog box after all import is complete.
