Eclipse Award is the annual Eclipse Award for a project that has made a significant contribution to the open source community. The Eclipse Foundation recently announced the Eclipse Award winner in recognition of its contribution to the community, including open source projects and Eclipsecon projects. In the meantime, we can see clearly that most of the award-winning projects are based on Java, which shows Java's influence in the open source community. These winners are: Eike Stepper, top contributor Lars Vogel, top contributor Walter Harley, top evangelist E4, most open Project Xtext, most innovative bredex guidancer, best business development tool Groov Y-eclipse, best open Source development tool SpringSource DM Server, best eclipsert application tasktop Pro, best rcp application
Two of the award-winning projects were funded by SpringSource, who previously reported that the DM server had migrated to eclipse and renamed it Virgo, which will be released this summer.
As the Mylyn commercial version of the Tasktop still strong momentum, growing.
