Eclipse, here I come.

While most users are happy to use eclipse as the java  Integrated development Environment (IDE), Eclipse's goal is not limited to this. Eclipse also includes the plug-in development environment (plug-in development Environment,pde), which is intended for software developers who want to extend eclipse because it allows them to build tools that integrate seamlessly with the eclipse environment. Since everything in Eclipse is a plug-in, all tool developers have the same place for providing plug-ins for Eclipse and for providing users with a consistent and unified environment for integrated development. This equality and consistency is not limited to  Java  development tools. Although it is developed in the Java language, Eclipse is not limited to the Java language, for example, plugins that support programming languages such as C/S, COBOL, PHP, and Android are already available, or are expected to be rolled out. The Eclipse framework can also be used as a basis for other types of applications unrelated to software development, such as content management systems. A prominent example of Eclipse-based applications is the IBM Rational software Architect, which forms the basis of the  ibm java development tools Family    Eclipse is a well-known, cross-platform, free-integrated development environment (IDE). Originally used primarily for Java language development, the installation of different plug-ins eclipse can support different computer languages, such as C + + and Python development tools. Eclipse itself is only a framework platform, but the support of many plugins makes it difficult for eclipse to have the flexibility of other functionally relatively fixed IDE software. Many software developers develop their own IDES in the framework of Eclipse. [3] eclipse was originally created by the IDE product development Group of the OTI and IBM two companies, starting in April 1999. IBM provides the initial basis for the Eclipse code, including platform, JDT, and Pde. The Eclipse project, IBM, has evolved around the eclipse project into a vast eclipse alliance with more than 150 software companies involved in the Eclipse project, including Borland, Rational software, Red Hat and Sybase. Eclipse is an open source project, which is actually an alternative to visual age for Java whose interface is the same as the previous visual age for Java is similar, but because of its open source, anyone can get free, and on this basis to develop their own plug-ins, and therefore more and more people attention. The project was followed by a number of large companies, including Oracle, and the goal of Eclipse was to become an IDE integrator for any language development, with the user simply downloading plugins in a variety of languages.
