How to install the plug-in is not much to say. (Just a hint: eclipse-->help-->install New software ... )
Use the link address installation to be aware that the Eclipse version needs to coincide with the release time of the Egit release.
If the corresponding dependency is missing, the version of Egit will be reduced until it can be installed.
eg, my eclipse INDIGO v3.7.2 can only install EGit V1.3,egit v1.3 above the lack of corresponding dependencies.
This is the link for all versions of Egit:
Just need to find the corresponding link to install it. Eg, my: http://archive.eclipse.org/egit/updates-1.3
Only the latest version of Eclipse can use Http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates to install Egit.
Here is a detailed egit installation and use of the documentation: Eclipse plugin egit installation is used. can be consulted.
