Eclipse Settings default encoding is Utf-8

There are several places that need to be set up:

Window->preferences->general->content type->text->jsp The bottom is set to UTF-8

The text file encoding in the Properties dialog box for the newly created project is UTF-8.

Window->preferences->general->workspace panel text file encoding select UTF-8

Then set the Java file encoding to UTF-8.

window->preferences->web->jsp Files Panel Select ISO 10646/unicode (UTF-8)

  Then set the Java file encoding to UTF-8.
