The Eclipse Text editor has the standard features of the editor, including unlimited undo (Ctrl + Z) and Redo (ctrl+y) operations. With the shortcut key ctrl+f, the Find/replace dialog box appears, and the shortcut key ctrl+k or ctrl+shift+k is used to find the next and previous occurrences of the searched string, respectively.
The Eclipse Text Editor also provides a notable feature: Incremental search. To use this feature, you can use the shortcut key ctrl+j. At this point, you see a hint--incremental Find in the message area of the Eclipse main window. As you enter a character on the keyboard, you'll see that the character appears in the Eclipse's message area, and the first text that matches that character in the editor is selected. By using the shortcut key ctrl+j, you can find the next occurrence of the input string, and you can also use the shortcut key ctrl+shift+j to find the previous occurrence of the input string.
