Previously with MyEclipse development with Tomcat very good management release, but now with Eclipse development, slightly configure the complex point, first set each publish directory not to the local servers directory, you can check the data on the Internet a lot, the approximate step is to create a new debug on server, Do not select the project, edit the server, select the second in the server locations, so that the server path will be automatically located to the Tomcat installation directory, Deploy path input WebApps, click Save.
As of now, the Tomcat configuration is normal, but each release will find that the Server.xml in the Tomcat conf file will be automatically updated, and when the Tomcat server is launched in Eclipse, the project deployed in Eclipse will be automatically released. But my project was manually deployed out of the box, and Eclipse only recognized the projects that were deployed within it, so it would create a new Server.xml file that would overwrite the original file, only the projects deployed in eclipse, so we just had to cancel the auto-release feature.
The solution is as follows:
Select Window-preferences-server-launching, Cancel automatically publish Wen starting servers, click OK, get it done.
Eclipse Tomcat Configuration Publishing Directory
