Edit Markdown with Webstorm

Webstorm is a very efficient development tool, especially for web front-end development. Markdown is popular because it simplifies the syntax of HTML, removes complex labels such as forms, and only presents Web pages with minimalist syntax. Editing the markdown document in Webstorem is a common application requirement.

1. Markdown Introduction

Markdown is a lightweight markup language , founded by John Grouber (John Gruber) and Allen Swartz (Aaron Swartz). It allows people to "write documents in plain text format that is easy to read and write, and then convert them into valid XHTML (or HTML) documents."

Markdown's grammar, for those without programming experience, can be mastered in 2-3 hours. All languages are based on Markdown implementations, all of which have commercial applications.

2. Installing the Markdown plugin in Webstorem

Originally installed in the Webstorem markdown plug-in is very simple things, do not know the version of idea is the reason, or markdown plug-in designer reasons, causing some use problems, need to manually adjust some parameters to correct use.

• Automatic installation: Select in Webstorm: file–> settings–> plugins–> Browse repositories–> Search Markdown

3. Testing

Restart the Webstrom software and create a new test.md file.

The bottom label Text,preview can toggle the effect during the edit and preview process, and the text also has syntax highlighting.
